Stress and anxiety disorder are accompanied by similar symptoms, and sometimes the difference is difficult to determine even for professionals. 

The modern world is such that we constantly have to worry, and because of this the nerves are just at the limit.

The stress you are experiencing may be related to stress. If such discomfort does not last long, then there is no reason for experience.

Constant anxiety can disrupt our daily routine, especially if the work is one of the causes of stress, because the atmosphere in the office or the relationship with the boss is too tense.

The Spanish Society for the Study of Alarming and Stress (SEAS) defines a general anxiety disorder as a disorder that is accompanied by acute psychiatric reactions and physiological overexcitation for more than six months. 

Very often people with such a disorder constantly suffer from a high level of stress. Anxiety is caused by constant doubts and negative expectations.

The complexity of such situations complicates the diagnosis even for specialists. To find out if you suffer from stress or anxiety disorder, try to analyze the following factors:

1. You are constantly worried

It is natural to worry about graduation. You need to find a dress, shoes and get a good graduation point. And it may not necessarily be your graduation, but also the graduation of your child, brother and other loved one.

If you are worried about this without ceasing for six months, you can earn an anxiety disorder.

To determine what kind of disease is involved, doctors analyze  whether the person felt so before the onset of a stressful situation and how it affected his behavior.  If anxiety does not last long, most likely, it’s not an anxious disorder.

If you started preparing for a wedding and are nervous, but you know that everything was fine before, most likely it’s about stress.  If you have experienced these symptoms before, it is most likely an anxiety disorder that requires medical attention.

2. You come to negative conclusions

Do you immediately think about the worst? Do you often say that you think negatively?

If you think that this is only a realistic view of the world or a way to act cautiously, most likely everything is in order.

If these thoughts are too intrusive, most likely, you have an anxiety disorder. Especially if you always think that the worst outcome is the most possible outcome.

Try to pay attention to how an outsider sees the situation.

If you constantly feel bad, expect the worst and you cannot enjoy the moment, but no one else sees the situation in this way, you should think about it.

People with anxiety disorder feel that they have too many flaws. They are constantly unhappy with themselves and with what they do, and they consider themselves to be a shame of the family.

If you are one of those people who, after hitting your head, suspect your brain tumor, you may have an anxiety disorder.

Negative view of a world in which everything will only get worse is called Catastrophism.

3. You are irritated, and the others notice this 

Do you feel anxious, tired, irritable, suffering from insomnia and inability to concentrate? This can be associated with a number of health problems, both physical and mental.

Nervous disorders are very difficult to diagnose, and most often they are the reason that other people turn away from you.

If one of these symptoms prevents you from living normally, to study or work, it is better to consult a doctor.

4. What makes you feel better is not in your plans

You know what you need to do to cope with stress – stick to a healthy diet, exercise regularly, but you do not do it, because you do not want or do not have time.

Learn to correctly prioritize.

Health should always be in the first place. Take time for yourself – it can save your life.

Try to do the following things:

  • Take a walk with friends
  • Spend time alone
  • Read
  • Do exercises every day
  • Find a new hobby
  • Travel and learn new places

5. Consult a specialist if you cannot cope with the problem

If you have already tried all of the above listed methods and still suffer, it is best to consult a professional.

Ideally, you need to contact a specialist who is engaged in cognitive- behavioral disorders. He will demonstrate how you can change the way you think and how you can react to difficult situations.

Any psychologist will help you identify the problem and the best solution. If necessary, he will direct you to a more narrow specialist.
