Really bad coughing fits may burst fine blood vessels in areas like the nose and anus, causing a hemorrhage.

5. Diaphragm Rupture

A cough forces your diaphragm to contract, pushing it upward just as your ribs are pushed downward and inward. These opposing actions may result in a rupture of your diaphragm.

6. Throat Tissue Damage

Non-stop coughing will definitely affect your throat. It can cause infection as well as inflammation in the tissues.
