Seven Home remedies for urinary tract infection

Urinary tract infections are often caused by gastrointestinal bacteria that adhere to the walls of the urethra and begin to multiply in it. Although all people can become infected with this infection, regardless of gender, women are more exposed to this risk. Unfortunately,  urinary tract infections often recur. 

Genitourinary infection is usually caused by bacteria that are attached to the walls of the bladder. It can be the result of sexual contact, pregnancy or menopause. The most common symptoms include frequent urination, small amounts of urine, pain and burning when urinating, changes in urine color, abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting.

Apple vinegar

  • Spread two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink. Add lemon juice and honey to improve the taste of the drink.

  • Add apple cider vinegar in hot water and take a bath.

Cranberry juice

Cranberry juice is a natural antibiotic that prevents bacteria from attaching to the walls of the urinary tract and causing infections. It is better to drink natural undiluted juice without sugar and other additives.

  • Drink half a cup of cranberry juice a day to prevent the development of infection in the bladder.
  • In case you are already sick, drink 3-4 glasses of juice a day.

Contraindications:  do not drink cranberry juice in the presence of kidney stones.

Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil has powerful antibiotic properties and helps to get rid of bacteria that cause infections in the bladder and urinary tract.

What should you do?

  • Mix 10 drops of tea tree oil with hot water and rinse with this solution genitals.
  • Mix the tea tree oil with an equal amount of sandalwood oil and juniper oil. Apply oil to the abdomen and the area above the bladder. This remedy perfectly removes the pain caused by the infection.
  • Apply two drops of tea tree oil on the inside of your underwear, then the heat will help you cope with the infection.

Infusion of field horsetail

Infusion from field horsetail has a powerful diuretic effect and excellently copes with urogenital infections.

  • At the first sign of infection, drink two or three cups of infusion from horsetail every day.
  • It is not recommended to take this infusion for a long time.

Pomegranate juice

  • Drink two or three glasses of pomegranate juice a day to cope with the infection.

Infusion of garlic

Watermelon juice
